Alvin L. Williams was born on June 4, 1978, on St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands to Alvin Williams, Sr. and Mrs. Jennifer Williams. He attended Primary School at the Thomas Jefferson Annex, Junior High School at All Saints Cathedral School and he graduated from the Charlotte Amalie High School, Class  of  1996. Senator Williams has an Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies from the University of Phoenix.

Senator Williams returned home in 1997 to become the General Manager of his family-owned business, Alvin Williams Trucking and Equipment Rental. Under his tenure as General Manager, this        company has become one of the largest heavy equipment retail businesses in the Virgin Islands and has been contracted by the federal and local governments to provide major development services in this territory.

Senator Williams has served as a Senator in the 27th Legislature and was the Liaison to the U.S. Congress, Chairperson of the Committee on Planning and Environmental Protection, and the Vice Chairman of the Committee on Government Operations.  He was a member of the  Committees on Rules and Judiciary; Housing, Sports and Veterans Affairs; the Committee on Public Safety, Homeland Security and Justice; and the Council of State Governments Eastern Regional Conference Environmental and Energy Committee.

During the 27^th Legislature, Williams worked hard to make a difference in our community through legislation and other initiatives. Now as he begins his second term in office, Senator Williams pledges to continue to seek ways to improve the living conditions of the elderly and children in our community and to make a positive difference in the work that he does toward the betterment of the people of the Virgin Islands.
