St. Thomas -The Committee on Finance, chaired by Senator Carlton “Ital” Dowe, met with officials from the Office of Management and Budget and the Virgin Islands Bureau of Internal Revenue (VIBIR) to consider Request No. 0003-13, in the amount of $400,000, by the Virgin Islands Bureau of Internal Revenues at the Earle B. Ottley Legislative Hall on Thursday.

St. Thomas-The Committee on Planning and Environmental Protection chaired by Senator Louis Patrick Hill, met to transfer ownership of the Lindquist Beach property from the Government of the United States Virgin Islands to the Magens Bay Authority (MBA) at the Earle B. Ottley Legislative Hall on Tuesday.
Bill No. 29-0303, sponsored by Sen. Hill and Sen. Carlton “Ital” Dowe also seeks to waive all taxes and fees incurred in the transfer. “The purpose of this bill is to ensure that all of the rights and title of this property is transferred to MBA. This will protect the property and it will ensure that it will remain deeded to the people of the Virgin Islands indefinitely,” said Sen. Hill.
