St. Thomas-The Committee on Planning and Environmental Protection chaired by Sen. Louis Patrick Hill, met with officials from the Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) at the Earle B. Ottley Legislative Hall, to decide the fate of the authority through Bill No. 29-0137. The measure seeks to abolish VIWMA to create the Virgin Islands Management Agency to assume all powers duties and responsibilities to solid waste and wastewater management in the territory.
